Mark is a musician who's work has been described as "pure Southern Americana." Mark has worked primarily as a solo artist since 2005, but has also performed with several national and regional touring bands over the years, including the Nashville based JUBAL FOSTER. He also shares his talents as an emcee throughout the year at local and regional events, including his annual participation at MerleFest, the nations largest Americana and Roots Music festival.

The Lenoir Chess Club will be celebrating National Chess Day at the Happy Valley Filling Station on Saturday, October 8 at 11:00.  All are invited to enjoy good, local food and enjoy a few games of chess!  All experience levels are welcome, from beginners to experts!

Rastacoustic is an Appalachian reggae group combining roots reggae with the Appalachian folk style. The band’s eclectic influences range from the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina to the Blue Mountains of Jamaica, creating a one-of-a-kind musical experience. Rastacoustic’s three well-seasoned musicians include Peter Brown (Guitar, Keys, Vocals), Justin Butler (Bass, Vocals), and Shawn Roberts (Drums, Percussion), who have performed all across America, Canada, and Japan.

Kay and Patrick Crouch are dedicated to performing a variety of musical styles in an acoustic setting. Their eclectic repertoire includes modern folk songs by American, Canadian, and Irish songwriters, the fiery breakdowns and songs of family and home found in both traditional and contemporary bluegrass settings, and centuries-old Celtic airs and dance tunes. All of this is peppered with a healthy dose of popular jazz standards, swing and western swing music, and a few classic country tunes thrown in to provide a program certain to be enjoyed by all.

Laura Ford Huber is collaborating with HVFS to offer commUNITY based yoga.  Support neighborhood connection by cultivating awareness with breath and movement. This offering is a healthy way to develop bonds with your neighbor, support one another and grow together. 
COME AS YOU ARE. All are welcome to this All Levels Donation Based Class, no experience necessary- we are All always learning. 
Suggested Exchange $10.

BEER FOR CHARITY

Cask Night was a hit, so we're making it a weekly event!  Our "Pin Cask" is a 4.5 gallon stainless vessel that allows for ultra small batch experimentation.  This week, we took our BRIAN pale ale and added peaches and vanilla beans. Served Wednesday night only, while it lasts. ALL PROCEEDS from the cask sales will go to charity.  This will be a weekly event, so put it on the calendar for Wednesdays 4-9.

Join us every Sunday afternoon for a wide-ranging selection of local talent.  Hosted every week by Jon Boy, expect to hear anything from old time and bluegrass to alt-country to indie.  If you've got an itch, bring your instrument and join the fun.  We always finish with a group jam, including everyone who came out to play.

Available on Sundays only, our Micheladas are made to order from our own beer, Zing Zang and spice mix, salted rim and candied bacon.  It's a Bloody Mary made with beer!
